TROPICAL CYCLONE “EX JOBO” ALONG THE COAST OF TANZANIA.

Dar es Salaam, 25th April, 2021: Morning
This information updates the previous information issued yesterday 24th April 2021 afternoon by Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) about the progress of the cyclone “Jobo”. For the past six hours, the cyclone has weakened rapidly as it approaches landfall along the southern coastal areas of Pwani and Dar Es Salaam region during the night of 24th April, 2021. The weak cyclone Jobo uncounted increased wind shear along its path.
On the other hand, remnants of cloud bands associated with the cyclone “Jobo” have spread in the ocean near the southern coast of Tanzania and Mozambique.
At this moment, direct adverse impacts associated with the cyclone “Ex-Jobo” is unlikely to occur within our country but the remnants of the cloud bands of the “Ex- Jobo” can result into rains over some areas along the coast.
